Being J2EE™ certified means that your product has passed Sun™ Microsystems' stringent J2EE Compatibility Test Suite (CTS). The CTS verifies that a J2EE application server correctly implements all the major pieces of the J2EE
specification. For a database product, it verifies that the JDBC interface is
correctly implemented according to the standard. This testing also confirms
enterprise scale functionality of the database product. PointBase has passed
this certification process. Further, Sun has tested both Sun™ ONE Application
Server and Sun™ ONE Studio with the CTS using PointBase as the DBMS.

PointBase Embedded - Server Option is offered as a deployment alternative for networked applications. Using this option in a client-server environment within the application infrastructure, developers create more flexible and powerful software options based on enterprise-class features.
