About PointBase UniSync
The PointBase Universal Synchronization Option (UniSync) provides bidirectional data synchronization between PointBase databases located anywhere on the Internet. In combination with DataMirror Transformation Server, or other enterprise replication solutions, UniSync extends enterprise data to continuously and occasionally connected users. UniSync allows enterprises to extend the reach of corporate data across the Internet, enabling new services and products for customer service, field operations, supply chain management, and other applications.
UniSync is available as an option to the PointBase Network Server and Mobile Edition, and will also be available with the Embedded Server and the Device Edition database systems. The UniSync option adheres to the design standards of 100% Pure Java, near-zero administration, and ultra-small footprint.
About the PointBase Device Edition
The PointBase Device Edition is aimed at developers planning wide deployment of database applications on small devices, set-top boxes, and Internet appliances. With Device Edition, PointBase provides development tools that allow Java developers to customize the functionality of the database quickly and easily optimizing for the memory constraints of their device platform and the functional requirements of their application.
About the PointBase Embedded Server
The PointBase Embedded Server meets the needs of developers who require multiple simultaneous connections to the database to support applications that may be encapsulated within the network infrastructure or hosted on unattended systems. Typical applications include supervisory control, industrial process control, and network monitoring.
